Production Operative
I returned to my position at Trucast after receiving a call asking if I would like to return. Shortly after, I was offered a Permanent Contract with the company.
I remained working in the Wax Department increasing my skills to Riser Mount, Cleaning & Assembly, Plastic Linisher, MPI Operator & Die Setting, Battenfeld Operator & Die Setting, Auto Operator & Die Setting, and currently learning Backface Changing & Die Cleaning.
I have also moved around the factory and have increased my skills in the Shelling Department to PCL/MV Precoat, PCL/MV Shelling, WDS Shelling, Vermiculite and Wrapping. Due to my skills I was made the on the job trainer for my department.
I was also given the opportunity to take up a stand in Team Leader position providing cover for both early and late shifts when the Team Leaders are away, Leading the teams of both the Wax and Shell Departments. Due to this position I was enrolled on a Leadership Development Programme where I got to increase my leadership skills and learn more about myself and others. I was then promoted to Deputy Team Leader providing cover across all 3 shifts.
I have also helped out by accepting the role of TEF Rep for my shift, Fire Marshall and Train the Trainer.
I have since been promoted to a full Team Leader position and currently run the Casting department soon to move to the Post Cast department, completing the full process of the factory, working and running every department the factory has to offer, also training to be a Fork Lift Operator.

My position at Trucast was in the PCL Wax Room where my main duty was Assembly of Wax Wheels ready for Shelling; I also helped out with other jobs in the MV Wax Room when I was needed including Assembly of Wax Wheels, Running Presses and anything else I was needed for.
Sadly I was affected by Company Redundancy as I was on a Temporary Contract,
Although I gained some great skills, experience and references.
